Rated 4 out of 5 by from Removed paint from steel cabinet. Ok, this does work on steel. It takes a bit of getting used to - my first attempt did not work, as I applied a thin(ish) coast and then tried to scrape off, nothing moved. My second attempt I really put on a thick coat, left for a couple of hours and although it did not bubble the paint, it did scrape off fairly easily. I did do a final (medium thickness) coat which removed all remants of paint. Given that removing paint from steel is not an easy feat, this product rates with me. It was much easier than using a heat gun. Big tick for the eco side of things. Would use again. Toolstation: super speedy quick delivery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eco Paint stripper Yeah I thought it was a bit of a joke to start with but it said you can use it indoors and most others you can't. Works really well paint it on and walk away leave it and come back to it after 15 to 30 mins it took a few goes as there was about 8 coats of paint all different colours

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wouldn't recommend Thought this would be better than using strong chemicals, but for very old gloss and not so old varnish, it made absolutely no impact. Wasted the money on this and did the job with nitromors instead

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smells good. Not very powerful. I bought this last week to remove paint from a door frame and was reluctant to use nitromors again as it smells strong and burns if it touches your skin. This is basically a weaker version of nitromors. Is softens newish paint but really has no noticeable effect on older established paint. It smells good and isn't damaging to skin but doesn't really work either. You still need to abrade and use other paint removal techniques. I won't be buying again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as well as the caustic stuff Like every other paint stripper I have used this stuff is a bit disappointing as it does not perform as well as the manufacturers suggest. However it performs as as well as any other stripper removing 2-4 layers at a time. It takes a little longer to work than the caustic stuff but is much more pleasant to use - line up something else to do for an hour or so whilst it does it's thing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff Bought this as my builder was going to charge an arm and a leg to scrape flaky paint off all our walls, we tried to do the job just with a scraper and it was nigh on impossible to shift. Found out about this online and tried it. It softens the paint so it comes off quite easily. Best thing ever and it is non- toxic so can use in large areas with no worries about your health.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Eco remover This works excellent straight away on single layers. But if you want to go through multiple layers then read the instructions. If you put on a decent amount, cover it in cling film then leave it over night then the paint will flake off. My door frames had 20 years of paint, 6 layers in total and some being oil based. READ the INSTRUCTIONS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PAINT AND VARNISH REMOVER Bought this on Toolstation recommendation. Required to strip some delicate wood and a painted floor. Use as directed (don't skimp!) leave to work on the surface. Lifts off 99% with a scraper and the rest with wire wool. No problems with odours. Excellent buy and thanks to the Toolstation guys in Woolwich!!
