LED GLS Lamp 7W ES (E27) Cool White 600lm (2 Pack) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 51.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good bulbs at decent price I've bought a number of packs of these LED bulbs over the last few months, to gradually replace CFL bulbs throughout the house. They seem much better technology compared with CFL because a) instant full brightness; b) lower power consumption; c) longer life, according to specs; d) appear to be more eco-friendly, e.g. for disposal. It remains to be seen whether they actually last as long as advertised - none of the bulbs I have bought have been used for more than a few hundred hours yet, but so far so good. Recently Toolstation has sold this range in packs of 2, making them better value for money and improving the long-term return of investment (cost of unit covered by reduced running costs).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not so harsh Originally purchased the cool white version of these bulbs but ended up taking them back and exchanging for warm white as the cool white I just couldn't live with, eyes just couldn't get used to the harshness of them but happy with the warm white much more realistic in terms of the yellow light bulbs we have all been used to but now not manufactured anymore, so in summary I would recommend these in the warm light, cheap compared to other retailers and look pretty decent in lightshade.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very bight but I'll stick with incandescents. LED bulbs are ridiculously expensive compared to incandescents and halogens; but I supposed that's inevitable if they don't need replacing as often and bulb-makers want to continue making big profits. These Toolstation bulbs are less ridiculously expensive than you will buy elsewhere. Also, if they fail prematurely, you will be able to take them back, unlike Chinese imports bought online which you are usually stuck with. If you are thinking of buying LED bulbs to save money, then they may be worth it, because they are definitely cheaper to run. But you will only achieve that cost saving if the bulbs last as long as they are supposed to - and many don't. If you are thinking of buying LEDs for the quality of their light output, then I wouldn't bother. I've replaced a lot of my GU10s and GLSs and none of them gives as nice a light as the bulb it replaced. It's not the brightness that's the problem - these Toolstation bulbs are very bright - it's the inconsistent colour temperature. You can buy three different "warm white" bulbs and they will give out a completely different coloured light, which is a real problem ifl you want to put them in the same room. I bought masses of incandescents as they were gradually outlawed by the EU; but I had planned to chuck them all and move to LEDs. I've changed my mind and will keep using them till they are all gone. By then maybe LEDs will have developed to a stage where they are cheaper to buy, still cheap to use, and give a nicer, more consistent, light.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent light My latest purchase was a replacement for some that I bought over a year ago, and therefore out of warranty, despite 30k hour warranty on box. I am having to deal with the manufacturers. The lamos themselves are excellent and due to the low power consumption I have been able to put three rows of six in my kitchen ceiling, giving a good spread of light and flexibility for highlighting different areas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than tungsten by far I have resisted the change from tungsten to LED because the colour rendition has till now been poor. These lamps did not have that failing, the light is good, the output is better than those replaced and of course they only run warm and not hot like tungsten. A good everyday replacement for the standard type lamp we are all familiar with at a reasonable price. I intend to buy more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These LED lights save pounds on juice Good lamps that have now replaced our four old tungsten 100 watt bulbs in our kitchen. The problem with the old tungsten bulbs is not only the amount of power they consume but the heat in the ceiling fittings. The LED lamps are now 12 watt and do the same job also remain quite cool so this reduces the fire risk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for money Will save us a few bob (especially as the wife is prone to leaving lights on when she goes out). Slightly whiter (I.e. Cooler than your standard 'warm white'). Enjoy the fact light is instant, rather than the eco bulbs they replaced which took c.5mins to warm up. Definitely buy these again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lamp so far Bought these as replacement for 100w lamps that seem to blow every five minutes it seems. The lamps light instantly with a good brightness and look good to the eye. Time will tell if they last a long while but I will be buying more to replace other filament lamps I have.
