Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant I have a couple of small 9Ah motorcycle batteries to run models. I had bought a middle of the range "smart charger" which wasn't so smart. It made a buzzing noise which was irritating. I bought this charger, which was much cheaper and which does the job perfectly. I would definitely recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Streetwise trickle charger Needed a product to keep car battery charged whilst in situ . This is doing the job as stated . Leads long enough to go from external power socket to car , with unit resting inside engine bay and bonnet closed to keep it dry .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact, effective, robust The battery on my car was completely flat (less than 1 volt across the terminals) after an internal light was left on for several days. Although this is just a trickle charger and the battery is of large capacity, it brought the battery back to life after an overnight charge. Great to have for emergencies without taking up too much space.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A useful little device. I bought this to trickle a household 12V battery array used as standby for a number of household things. Being curious and an electronics person I opened it up to find it contains a transformer (so it is not a switched mode device) and a relatively simple charging circuit (so no microprocessor intelligence in it). It charges at a little over 1 amp for a while, slowly decreasing until it takes the battery to about 13.8 volts. Then the green light comes on and it actually seems to discharge the battery very slowly and leave it at 12.98 volts. The minimum voltage recommended lead acid batteries is 12.9 volts and for standby operation a little higher - 13.5 to 13.8 volts. For such a cheap device, I guess this is reasonable, if not quite optimum. It will do the job I have for it. One bad point: when I inspected it, one of the internal connections from the transformer to the circuit board was badly soldered. I fixed it, no problem for me but for the average user this would have been a significant problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job but noisey The unit functions exactly as intended. Good price. There is a surprising amount of "resonance vibration" from the unit when on trickle charge. Not really an issue in the garage, but haven't heard the equivalent on other chargers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great trickle charger A great trickle charger, takes 24 hours for a full charge, it has a light for power, and a full charge indicator light also. I recommend it.
