Rustins Anti Corrosive Quick Drying Metal Primer Paint Grey 250ml is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good antirust paint. As many others have said, its very viscous, hard to lay off with a brush, so thinning with Xylene based thinners is required. When thats done, cant fault it, good stuff.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too bloody thick Bought this paint and it's worst undercoat i have ever come accross, I usually prefer a good body paint, but this is ott, probably need as much thinner as paint,it's so difficult to use,u have to keep adding thinners all the time. It's ok for doing a small patch, but anything big forget it,you will die off old age before you Finnish.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Read reviews! Impossible to brush. Very very thick, like car body filler in consistency and unusable without thinning. I should have read reviews before buying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value, thick and sticky Yes, I would advise buying some thinner to use with this, but from the tin it’s also good for filling surface imperfections. I’ll take paint that’s too thick over paint that’s too runny any day!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sticks like glue! I bought this to paint a couple of metal doors from a shed that had become scratched and were starting to rust. The instructions say 'stir well'. They're not kidding - the bottom third or more of the tin was complete gunge and it took ages to get it to a reasonable consistency. I started to paint the first door and it was horrible. It went on like glue and any attempt to flow into bits I'd done a few seconds before wrecked it completely. I decided to carry on and try to sand it flat afterwards, but it still ended up a mess. Before I did the second door, I thinned it well, but it was hardly better. In more than 50 years of painting things, I've never used a paint that I hated as much as this one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Difficult to apply. Based on the glowing reports and relatively cheap price I bought a tin. Previous reviewer had mentioned very thick paint difficult to apply. Absolutely right! No possibility of me getting a smooth finish and I had not a pallette knife with which to apply it. Ended up stippling it on trying to get a smooth finish. Failed in that.
