½ Sheet Sanders
The largest of the three, this has a sanding plate ½ the size of standard sandpaper, making it better at slightly larger sanding jobs.
Sheet sanders are great for smoothing down and prepping surfaces, while also providing a fine finish. They are more effective at finishing than for tackling particularly tough surfaces such as paint or varnish.
