Provides space and security lighting. The photocell activates the light at dusk at high level, 8W 600lm and dims down to 2W 150lm after 60 seconds or last PIR detection and automatically switches off at dawn. 3000K warm white. Die cast aluminium.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Second one failed now This is the second one that had failed. Fits fine and works but after 2 years or so, the sensor fails and the light stays permanently on. For fifty pounds it is not worth it when the claim is it worths for 50,000 hours. That's total rubbish. The Manufacturer won't replace either.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fairly good, but ... A previous one of these lasted 4 years before developing two different sensor problems, which was slightly disappointing. Just replaced it with a new one as (i) little else available with the same features and (ii) quick to swap them over as no new holes to drill. A gasket/seal is really needed between the back plate and the front to make it weather-proof as there is only one screw to secure them together. I cut a thin strip of gaffer tape to run around the join. Protection from a reasonable width of eves overhang would help prolong the life of the lamp. Otherwise, like I have now done, provide some additional protection from weather for the lamp.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good function but design could be improved LED bulb is stamped with 6W and not the 8W in the specification. It replaces a similar light but without the continuous night time light. I prefer if it was polycarbonate plastic and not painted alloy. I expect paint to peel and alloy to corrode. Cable entry located at the bottom so not easily interchangeable with previous light. Design could be better. Cable terminations are screw fit not as easy as push fit. Detection range is less than half of my previous light but suits the location. Operation appears slow as light takes about a second to get to full power. Continuous night time light is required as street lights replaced with ‘improved’ LED. They only light up a small circle of pavement directly below. Driveways, footpaths and house are in complete darkness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two lights for the price of one Been looking for a light that is dawn till dusk combined with a P.I.R for a while.Very pleased with the light gives off a bright glow when working dawn to dusk and a bright light as a P.I.R. The electrician had no problem with fitting it, overall very please with light, just what I was looking for.
