This is an update about some important changes we have made in our distribution centres and to our delivery arrangements.
We know people are concerned about the safety of the colleagues who work in our distribution centres. These staff are working hard to maintain the flow of essential items to the trades during the COVID-19 crisis. We would like to reassure the public and our colleagues that we are doing everything we can to keep them safe.
These measures will enable social distancing to take place and limit face to face contact as far as possible while allowing essential products to flow to customers who need them.
For our customers, we have already made essential changes to our branch and delivery services. We’ve reviewed delivery processes to ensure heavy and larger items including those over 1.5m in length can be delivered safely by our couriers, and this includes bringing on board specialist couriers to fulfil these items. These operational changes outlined should help to reduce contact for customers, colleagues and delivery drivers.
As a result of the changes above and as a further step to help staff with social distancing by reducing the number of trips made processing orders and to encourage customers to combine essential purchases into a single order we’ve updated our delivery service. From Wednesday 22nd April, the minimum order value for FREE delivery will change to £25.
Whilst this is still a reasonable reflection of the cost of delivery, we appreciate for existing customers it will be a change to our current service so we’ve included a FREE Delivery Voucher for orders between £10 and £25 valid until Tuesday 5th May 2020 to help with your next order at toolstation.com. Just add the promo code DELIVER25 to your trolley.
We are extremely grateful for the continued support of our customers and for your understanding at this challenging time.
