Draper Expert Rethreading Tool 3.5 x 0.6mm is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unfit for purpose I had to return this almost immediately as when I tried to clean up the first back box thread I found the shaft turned in the handle despite only using one finger and a thumb to turn it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed after 2 uses I almost didn’t buy this having read some of the negative reviews, but decided to give it a go. I used it on 2 holes and then on the third the handle started spinning as other people had commented. I’ve returned it and purchased the CK version instead, which seems much better quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't bother. Shaft began to rotate in handle on first use. Spend a little more on a better quality tool.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed Unfortunately the one I purchased was faulty or badly designed. While I just about managed to clean out the thread of the damaged back box, the tool failed because the tap was spinning within the handle when it reached the damaged thread. My guess is the tap is simply a length of round bar so there’s nothing to stop it spinning within the handle. I returned it for a refund.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should have got one years ago Got this to sort a double socket, it worked a treat. Good little tool to always have around, could be improved with a slightly longer shaft but it is OK as it is, would recommend using cutting fluid to help it cut and increase the life span. It's sold as a rethreading tool (not a tap as all engineers would think) and it does what it says on the tin!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless I wish l had taken more note of the bad review that Smiddy had had put on. l agree with him not at all good, especially as l have had several Draper tools in the past that have not failed to do the job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality, handle spins on shaft Bought this for what it was designed - tap out a difficult thread in a deep back-box. Useless - as soon as it hit some resistance, the handle spun on the tool shaft. As it is a moulded handle, there is little I can do to secure it. Either this was a dud from Draper or it is not genuine (the moudled handle is mainly black, so does not resemble the picture). Its going back and I've ordered one from elsewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Tool This tool may seem expensive for what it is but it certainly earns it's keep. I have had a number of back boxes that have had fouled up screw tabs and have spent time digging out the plaster or replacing the tabs, this takes more time than i have ever wanted to spend doing this job. Well since I bought this tool the potential problem has not arrived, a quick run through with the re-threader and every thing is sorted. Buy one, you will never regret it.
