Click-clac 1 1/4" Chrome Plated Brass Basin Plug Slotted is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 39.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Unscrews Happy with this. As usual the info on the site is minimal! Best thing is it unscrews for easy cleaning. Some do not. Hopefully it will stay like that! (in case that is why they do not mention it!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant bit of kit I purchased 2 of these to replace old plugs at my daughters house, I`m only a DIY bloke, but these were so easy to fit. They work perfectly, no leaks at all. I viewed a YouTube video to make sure I could do it - simple, great bit of kit

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks good and mechanically works well. Looks good and seems to work well enough. I don't expect a 100% seal. In response to some earlier reviews do note that with all slotted outlets it is essential to apply sealant around the washer and nut at the bottom. You cannot expect the thread to be waterproof, just think about it. Do not overtighten the nut, I know that the guy who fitted my earlier one graunched it up very tightly and after 8 years or so the basin is cracked and I am replacing it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty Click-clac Brass Basin I have purchased two and received 1 replacement also with a fault. The rubber washer beneath the top plug does not stop water draining into the waste basin. I unscrewed the faulty top button and tested it in the working waste basin and it allows the sink to be filled with water. I moved the plug from the working waste basin to the sink with the faulty waste and it allowed water to drain from the sink slowly when the button is pressed down. This proves the rubber washer is too small or there is a manufacturing issue with the internal diameter of the brass waste. Replacing the brass basin is time consuming and an unnecessary additional cost as it is not the plumber's fault. Please note there are no instructions supplied with item. You have to open the plug by turning it anti-clockwise. You can tighten the click-clack mechanism clock-wise; however this should be tight and should not need any adjustment. A larger rubber washer would fix issue or a small amount of silicon applied to the thread inside the brass waste.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Brassware is good - washers are pretty useless I bought this a couple of days ago. Being slotted, its designed to take the overflow water from the basin overflow, by having a collar slotted under the basin using a washer above and below. Firstly the washers are of a flared shape and the mouldings were poor, going thin where the washer material hadn't quite filled the mould during manufacture. Because they were of the very soft "silicon rubber" type of material, they slid inside the collar and failed to create a seal between the collar and the basin and the collar and the tightening nut. Even with silicon sealant liberally used, they failed to seal and shut off the slots, resulting in very little overflow water being allowed to flow to drain. I solved the problem by buying two 5mm thick rubber washers (40mm ID x 67mm OD), from another source. Can't see how the supplied washers could ever work with an overflow collar. But the brassware is good! Just a pity about the supplied washers (which are not shown on the product photographs). I can recommend the brassware but not the supplied washers for this application.
