Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent finish. Stable & rigid. I needed to replace a plastic, flimsy feeling seat that would not stay fixed in position no matter how much I tightened the fixing wing nuts. The variable width of the fixing bolts on this seat is actually locked into position once set so is much more stable when tightened against the porcelain of the pan. You do have to work it out for yourself though as there are no instructions of any sort. A glaring omission I think because it is not immediately obvious. Basically you have to undo a fixing screw under the base of each post lift and turn on a star shaped spigot in order to get to your required width. Overall very pleased with the product despite this little irritation and pleased I went for the soft-close option.
