Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXCELLENT away to fix a fence with rotted wood. I have used these for many rotten posts, that have snapped of at the concrete in the ground. They are easy to install, just follow the online instructions, and make sure it's square every time you bang in with a sledge hammer. The post is the above ground, and I have never had to replace them again. Some have been in the ground, these spikes, for ten years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what was needed We required just one of these spikes to complete the repair to our pergola & Toolstation were one of the few stores that sell them individually, rather than packs of two. The price was excellent & collection from the store really quick & easy. Another diy store had these spikes in stock but only for home delivery, the cost of which was as much as the item!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from solid repair spike just what I needed to repair rotten gate post without having to dig out the concrete base. Spike not too long as otherwise difficult to get spike straight upright. But dont hammer spike into the ground using a 60x60 drive in tool as will go straight through/ damage the metal base. First cut a 100x100 wooden template for the base and then drive in

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as shown I bought this item as described in the catalogue and buy the photo, but when it arrived it had two bolts for tightening the post, which as I required this to fit into an exciting concrete hole it has made my job and lot harder as toolstation only have that type in stock, not the one shown.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product I bought several of these because I had to install fence posts firmly in my garden; the soil is very rocky in places and it would be difficult to sink all posts to a sufficient depth. I used spikes and set them in concrete at a shallower depth than would otherwise be needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Split the conrete base Hi When hammered into 3"x3" concrete base from a broken 3" X 3" wooden post, the fact is that the Repair spike is slightly too wide and it splits the concrete base. The repair dimensions need to be a couple of millimeters less say 73 X 73

Rated 5 out of 5 by from better design than others i've seen This spike is a lot easier to use than the others that have internal gripping splines that make it very difficult to insert (or extract) the fence post into the spike. Simply drop the post in and tighten the bolts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic product. I bought some of these spikes to put up a low fence. They were easy to use and saved me a lot of time and money because I was able to do the job myself. Excellent product.
